Throughout history and especially for Christians, the Jordan River has special spiritual significance that sets  it aside from other rivers in the world. It is in the waters of Jordan that Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the Baptist. It is officially known as Baptism Site “Bethany Beyond the Jordan”.  This area is considered to be the original location of the Baptism of Jesus.   Please check other blogs below about my visit to Jordan.
