Poem #003-22062020 For Liverpool FC

This is my third attempt at writing a poem. It was composed the following day after watching English Premier League (football) game between Everton – Liverpool FC on Sunday, 21st June 2020, when the score was 0 – 0.

And now, as we all know the Liverpool Football Club is the sure winner.  Congratulations to The Reds!

A Poem for Liverpool FC

Just a few more games to play,
It will be The Reds’ title to stay.
Victory! Raise the trophy with pride,
An elusive dream taken in their stride.

It’s nice to see team coach Klopp,
Urging his team to never stop.
Anxious for the refs signal to go,
To watch BobbyVirgilGiniMinaManeMo.

Yalla Mo Salah, you Egyptian King,
Show what you’ve got down the wing.
Though last night was not quite normal,
You sitting on the bench looking casual.
***
Liverpool Football Club you’re a sure winner,
You’ve shown your stamina & great power.
And on the next English Premier League season,
Again, we’ll be singing “You’ll never walk alone”.
