The “City of Lights” – Paris

Bonjour!

Paris is a vibrant city which is named as one of the world’s most beautiful cities where people come to admire its exceptional architecture. It is also the capital of gastronomy, fashion and shopping.

I would assume that it is one of the dreams of every romantic to visit the “City of Lights”. Millions of people visit to the French capital every year and in 2014, I was one of them.

Like most of the first time tourists I was able to climb up to the second observatory level of the Eiffel Tower. This global cultural iconic monument was built for the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris. It has been the landmark of the city since it was opened to the public.

My former boss used to tell me that France is not only about Paris. It’s not just about the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Palace of Versailles, etc… There are many significant and equally interesting places and things to see outside of Paris. He further said, “Travel to the countryside of France and you will see the splendor of our country”.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to explore the other side of France in the coming months.
