Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice
The book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is considered as the most endearing love story ever written in the English language. I have seen the BBC TV Series which stars Colin Firth as Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy. This version, according to some critics is the most faithful adaptation of the book (so far). Here is my take on Pride and Prejudice after re – reading the book and after watching the movie 2005 version of the same title. ******************************************************************************* “She is tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me…”! Seriously? Well, “what are men to rocks and mountains?” Imagining a blissful moment one afternoon tête-à–tête With Jane…

Moments of Reflection!
I wrote this poem dedicated in loving memory of my dear Ate Betty Veranga, who sadly succumbed to Covid-19 several weeks ago. The enormity and extent of this Pandemic may seem nothing to some people. Others insisted that this whole thing is a hoax manufactured by the mainstream media. That is why we see some people who are too complacent in their approach. They are even ignoring and discrediting the precautionary measures imposed by their local authorities on how to help curb the further spread of the Corona Virus in their communities. I may blatantly say that until you yourself carry this virus; your family members, friends or loved ones…

Happy Easter Sunday!
As we reflect and celebrate “Easter Sunday” to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is the core essence of Christianity, I would love to share with you a song written by Bill and Gloria Gaither entitled “Because He Lives“. The music on the background is my personal favorite version by Grace Larson. I hope you will like it too. In the midst of these crisis that we are facing right now, remember that Jesus Christ is there for us. Let us believe in Him, entrust our lives in Him, pray harder that we will get through this the soonest. Meanwhile, we do our human best to keep ourselves healthy and…

Bronte Parsonage Museum – Haworth, West Yorkshire, England
WUTHERING HEIGHTS by Emily Brontë and JANE EYE by Charlotte Brontë are just two of the novels that enticed me to someday visit the former Brontë family home, the parsonage situated in Haworth, West Yorkshire, England. It is where the Bronte sisters spent most of their lives and wrote their famous novels. It was such a rewarding experience for me to finally see up close and personal some of their belongings and to learn more about their personal lives. Below is a link to view the compiled photos I took during my visit. For more details about my travels to the United Kingdom, please visit my YouTube channel, and…
