My admiration for “Jane Eyre” a novel by Charlotte Brontë
Jane Eyre, a novel written by Charlotte Brontë. I must confess I utterly fell in love not only with the leading character but all the more with the author herself. Charlotte has written a novel that would become one of the most famous romance novels of all time. Although I have seen movie adaptations of Jane Eyre, I did not fully realize then how beautifully the novel was composed until I read it in its entirety with the convenience of my prized Kindle. I do possess copies of the books one of which I personally purchased at a gift shop in their former home in the village of Haworth, West…

Bored
Time and time again boredom strikes, So, I am writing poetry. Something that I find comforting, Better than constantly whining. I too have another appealing passion, Salsa dancing with friends. Lord, bless the entire family who are hurting Restore, revive the Team as it’s mending Bestow peace upon those who face the ordeal To seek for justice, grace and love to prevail. Lord, let no one separate us from your…

My Take on “Paradise Lost”
“Paradise Lost” an epic poem by the English poet John Milton, A book bought from a quaint antique shop in Hunstanton. Chipped as it was still I gratefully and frenziedly acquired, Voluminous 1883 edition, to read it more time is required. A book widely popular among scholars many have told me, Reluctantly it took me ages to finally learn and see, Read that book “Paradise Lost”; it is a treat to behold. Take time to grasp its intended gist for what it foretold. So much to learn from this centuries-old literary piece, First published in 1667 hailed as Milton’s masterpiece. The poem concerns the Biblical story of the “Fall of…

Abide!
Lord God, as you are enthroned in your kingdom, May we achieve your divine peace to come. Day by day may you help us to live only for you. To keep the promise of Christ in our hearts, this we’ll do. Abide in us, as we pray to you God our Lord, That your love will keep us all in one accord. Christ, in you we trust with your divine grace, That in our hearts we see your loving face. Amen! ********************************************************************************************** – Joan Amorganda #011-15022021 > my poem, poem, poetry, quote, quotes, quotation, quotations, pray, prayers
