A Plea
Heavenly Father we come to Thee, Hear our supplication and plea, Strengthen our faith no matter what we see, During these times of uncertainty. Sovereign Father let our every prayer, Will give us solace with your loving care, May you be with us now and forever, As we trust in Jesus Christ our redeemer. Amen. ************************************ – Joan Amorganda / #016-16032021 #Poem, Poetry, My Poem, Poetry Challenge, Quote, Quotes, Quotation, Quotations, Verse

After years of reading books intensively I was surprized by the fact immensely That most great men and women in history At some points have written pieces of poetry. Well, then let me have a try and do Indeed, why not give it a go, go too I wish I could write a sensible line To extract from this tiny brain of mine. Dear Readers, your comments are welcome I’m all ears to criticism let them come You, my contemporaries sure have much to say During this time of isolation that is full of anxiety. ********************* – Joan Amorganda #014-09032021 Poem, Poetry, My Poem, Quote,…

Poem #002-21062020
This is my second attempt at writing a poem. Poem #002-21062020 I am sorry if sometimes I’m short tempered, Dealing with somewhat naive and disconnected. I am not always seeking for perfection, Neither, I am implying for competition. We are living in the Middle East With different working days from the rest, So please keep in mind and bear with us If we don’t answer your inquiries that fast. Do you know our working days? That here, it begins from Sundays? Which evidently ends on Thursdays, Normally, followed by two rest days. I hope you will come and visit us here in Dubai, It is…

Be Still
Woke up late one morning feeling lazy but still managed to have a walk along Dubai Water Canal. Then noticed this, to me was a perfect view, a beautiful reflection on the waters as if I was looking at a painting of a masterpiece created by a Cubist. I love the calmness and the effect of the still water… With the only hope that if only everyone is as calm and relax as this serene view, considering what is happening all around us. Be still everyone. There is still hope. May God bless us all! Psalm 46 a 1God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2Therefore…

For a tourist, there’s no better or more exciting way to explore Europe than to travel by train. Out of the many options of mode of transport to choose from, such as car, bus, or plane, undoubtedly, train travel is the most convenient and most reliable. It is a highly commendable mode of transportation for sightseeing unless you prefer to hire a car and drive on your own. Travelling by train gives you the freedom to easily move from one place to another not only in big cities but in remote rural areas as well and provides the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the countryside. Whenever I step…

Plunged Into Earth’s Lowest Point: The Dead Sea
The Lowest Point on Earth (430.5 Metres Below Sea Level) After Mount Nebo and Bethany beyond the Jordan, we headed to our next and final destination for the day: the Dead Sea. It is around fifteen minutes’ drive from the baptism site. The Jordan side of the Dead Sea has higher mountains, providing spectacular panoramic views of the Dead Sea; thus, numerous beach resorts and international hotels lined up. Our tour guide took us for lunch in one of the best restaurants in the area, and then we spent the entire afternoon relaxing and watching the curious tourists take their turn at covering their bodies with mud and then dipping…

An Insightful Travel Experience – Nepal
Before I started my own travels, I had been reading the articles found on https://www.hillmanwonders.com. I was fascinated by the insights Howard Hillman put into words about his passion for travelling and at the same time creating interesting and helpful tips for other would-be travellers. I wish I could travel as much as he accomplished and could document not only the famous places but also the weird and wonderful sites that I would encounter on my journeys. His website became my benchmark that I would gladly cross out the relevant places as soon as I was back from travelling. Given the ways and means, I would definitely visit all of…

Searching for the Lighthouse of Alexandria
It’s been a month now since my book INSPIRED TO TRAVEL; TRAVEL TO INSPIRE – A TRAVEL MEMOIR was published and made available online via Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. I am pleased with the current interest especially to hear comments and suggestions from those who got their copies and have already read the book. Like most of the questions that I have been asked so far, she wanted to know what made me decide to travel to Egypt…
